2024 RULES

  • When & Where is the Barrel Race, and what is the schedule?
    March 1, 2 & 3, 2024 - South Buckeye Equestrian & Event Center, Buckeye AZ Friday, March 1, 2024 ~ 4D Warm Up Race: * $500 added * $50 fee + $17 arena fee Approved Side Pots: * Jr. 18 and under$30 * Sr. 40+ $30 4pm - 6pm: Exhibitions - pay at gate $5 6:30pm: Race Starts Saturday & Sunday, March 2 & 3, 2024 ~ 5D 1 Race over 2 Days. Enter same horse both days. * $5,000 added * $100 per entry * $17 arena fee per run 8:30am - 10am: Exhibitions - pay at gate $5 10:30am: Race Starts
  • What are the age requirements?
    50 years old as of January 01, 2024
  • Information on Entries:
    1. Enter Online HERE 💻 2. Pre-Entries will close February 23, 2024 - any changes by February 28. 3. All entry blanks will need to be filled out completely using horses registered names 4. All on site entries must pay in cash 💵 5. No refunds or changes on early entries after February 28 ➡️ ENTER ON SITE ON FRIDAY, SATURDAY & SUNDAY ⬅️ 🛍️ Raffle Prizes for Pre Entries 🎁
  • Are there side pots for the big race?
    ✅ Yes! $40 fee * 50 - 59 * 60 - 69 * 70+ Buckles and payout each day 🎉
  • How many times can I enter?
    Enter twice same rider / horse combo
  • How do I become a Vendor?

  • How do I reserve a stall?
    All stalls and rv spot reservations 623-691-6900 📱
  • What is the Dress Code?
    Hat or helmet, boots and long sleeve shirt
  • Is there an Exhibition?
    Exhibitions will be available at the gate for $5.00 * March 1 from 4pm - 6pm * March 2 and 3 from 8:30am - 10:00am. 💥 Please be respectful to others and make exhibition run not training session 💥
  • Anything else I should know?
    1. All riders must stay mounted on horses in the arena for safety of all contestants 2. Winners MUST be present to receive awards and take photos 3. Substitutions need to be made before races start each day with office - a $10 office fee will be accessed 4. Failure to answer 3 Gate Calls will result in official turn out 5. A tie for awards will result in coin flip 6. Horse must run in draw position no switching 7. No excessive jerking, whipping, spurring or slapping of horse will be tolerated, and may result in being disqualified ❌
  • Will there be a Photographer on-site?
    YES we do have an event photographer, 4S Photography! Please refrain from taking photos inside the arena to respect and support our photographer and her professional photos 📸 Photos will be available on her website after the event.
